May diwali herald peace, prosperity, hapiness :Mukherjee

New Delhi, Oct 20 (UNI) Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee has extended his warm greetings and best wishes to the personnel of the armed forces and their family members on the joyous occassion of Deepawali.

On this occassion, his thoughts especially go out to the jawans, who are away from their homes and loved ones, guarding the frontiers so that the countrymen can have a feeling of security, a feeling so essential for growth and development, said Mr Mukherjee in his message.

The minister also greeted the civilian employees and their family members of the Ministry of Defence and its various establishments on the occassion.
