Kuku Walia appointed Umpires Manager for Doha Games

Jalandhar, Oct 20 (UNI) Renowned international umpire Kuku Walia has been entrusted the task of Umpires Manager for hockey matches in the next Asian Games scheduled to be held in Doha later this year.

Mr Walia told UNI here that as umpire manager his task would be to coordinate and supervise the duties of umpires and ensure smooth and accurate umpiring during the matches.

A senior memeber of FIH umpires' penal Mr Walia is presently discharging duties as Technical Director in the 62nd National Hockey Championship which began today.
