Kidwai, Hooda underline importance of 'Rozas'
Chandigarh, Oct 20 (UNI) Haryana Governor A R Kidwai and Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda underlined the significance of 'Rozas' (fasts) in the month of 'Ramazan', saying these strengthens one's self determination and inspiration to do good to others.
Dr Kidwai and Mr Hooda were addressing a largely attended 'Davat-e-Iftaar' hosted by the Chief Minister at Punhana in district Mewat this evening.
Dr Kidwai said the month of Ramazan had a great significance as the practise of keeping fast during this month not only improves the heart and mind but also inspires one to do good to others.
He said the gathering of people for Iftaar also signified the spirit of brotherhood.
Mr Hooda said rozas also strengthens one's self determination and the festival of Id spreads the message of mutual understanding and brotherhood.
Those present on the occasion included, Deputy Speaker Azad Mohammad, Working President of the Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee, Dr Ram Prakash, Member Parliament Avtar Singh Bhadana, ministers H S Chatha and Randeep Singh Surjewala and several MLAs.
