IT raids continue on Delhi hotelier

Hyderabad, Oct 20 (UNI) Income Tax authorities who took into custody Delhi hotelier Ramesh Kapoor and his auditor Umashankar here after finding Rs 2.8 crore of unaccounted money with them today continued searching the star hotel they were staying in and found Rs 17.2 lakh.

IT officials raided their hotel room this morning and searched it in their presence. They found a key and when the hotelier and auditor did not give a proper reply, searched the hotel and found the key was for a locker in the hotel. On opening it, they found cash which the hotelier could not explain away. It was impounded.

The hotelier was held at Begumpet airport yesterday when he landed from Delhi.
