Duleep: South gets key lead of 111 over West
Indore, Oct 20 (UNI) Scalping five batsmen, Anil Kumble helped scuttle the West Zone's first innings at 180 runs giving South Zone a crucial lead of 111 on the second day of a Duleep Trophy encounter underway at the Usha Raje Cricket Ground here.
Replying to a total of first innings total of 291, the West was bundled out at 180/9 with one injury. S Sreesanth claimed 3 wickets while L Balaji took one.
At stumps, South was 65/2. Captain V V S Laxman (12) and Y Venugopal Rao (26) were at the crease. Zaheer Khan and S Trivedi took a wicket each for the West.
