Dr Shastri accompanied raid team to check adulteration

New Delhi, Oct 20 (UNI) Delhi Health and Family Welfare Minister Yoganand Shastri today accompanied a team of Prevention of Food Adulteration Department officials to conduct surprise checks in sweetmeat shops in Bengali Market area of Central Delhi.

The team, led by area Sub Divisional Magistrate, collected samples of sweets and other food items for testing.

Expressing concern over sale of adulterated sweets and food items in the capital, Dr Shastri instructed the PFA department to be vigilant and alert during festive period and asked them to regularly take samples of sweets and other food items to check for adulteration.
