Diwali greetings from Governor, Chief Minister

Patna, Oct 20 (UNI) Bihar Governor R S Gavai and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today greeted people of the state on the occasion of Diwali.

In his message, Mr Gavai expressed hope that the 'festival of light' would inculcate the spirit of peace and communal harmony. It would also promote brotherhood and essence of Indian culture.

While wishing prosperity to the people of the state, Chief Minister described Diwali as ''a symbol of victory of good over evil.'' He called upon the people to reaffirm their commitment to work for development of the state.

Minister of State for Information Arjun Rai also wished the people of Bihar on this ocassion.
