5 people die in Jamnagar building collapse

Jamnagar, Oct 20: The death toll in yesterday's building collapse inside the Indian Air Force base here has gone up to five.

Four more bodies have been recovered from the debris, taking the death toll to five.

Twenty-two people are undergoing treatment at the Guru Govind Singh hospital in Jamnagar city.

Fire brigade personnel had evacuated at least 55 people from the debris. About 40 people who were injured were rushed to the hospital where one succumbed to his injuries before admission.

The incident occurred when an under construction building at the IAF base here collapsed yesterday.
