Cong position strengthening in MP: Narayansamy
Raisen, MP, Oct 20 (UNI) Congress General Secretary and the party's Madhya Pradesh in-charge V Narayansamy today claimed that the splendid Congress victory in the Harda municipal election was an indication of the party's position strengthening in the state.
''The Bharatiya Janata Party will face a similar defeat in the bypolls to the Vidisha Lok Sabha constituency and Malehra assembly constituency,'' Mr Narayansamy -- here to drum up support for the Congress candidate to the prestigious Vidisha seat -- told mediapersons.
Alleging that Vidisha was not developed despite Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan having represented it no less than five times in Parliament, he added that Union ministers Kamal Nath, Suresh Pachouri, Kantilal Bhuria, former chief minister Digvijay Singh and a few filmstars would also join the campaign trail.
In the presence of Congress state President Subhash Yadav, Mr Narayansamy expressed apprehension that the administrative machinery could be misused during the hustings and that was why party workers and leaders are keeping a close watch.
