Cipla Q2 net up 47.05 pc
Mumbai, Oct 20 (UNI) Pharma major Cipla has posted a 47.05 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 180.28 crore for the quarter ended September 30 this year as compared to Rs 122.6 crore for the corresponding quarter a year ago.
Announcing the results, the company said its total income has increased by 35.93 per cent to Rs 915.1 crore for the quarter ended September 30 from Rs 673.23 crore for the similar quarter last fiscal.
Net sales have increased by 33.31 per cent to Rs 896.11 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006, from Rs 672.2 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005.
EPS has increased to Rs 2.32 for the quarter ended September 30 this year from Rs 1.64 for the corresponding period previous year.
The company has recently announced the setting up of a wholly owned subsidiary, Cipla FZE at Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The subsidiary has been set up to explore export opportunities.
