BSNL to launch fixed line prepaid service in Aurangabad
Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Oct 20 (UNI) The state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) will soon launch Fixed Line Prepaid Service (FLPS) here.
Talking to reporters here this evening, BSNL general manager (Aurangabad District) N Rajsekhar said the service was aimed at PCO operators. For this, the company had already completed necessary preparations. To begin with, the service would be provided to 500 PCOs.
He said the company was also seriously considering to launch its wirless local loop (WLL) services in urban areas once its target of reaching all the villages of the district has been completed. BSNL has its presence in more than 12,000 villages of the total 13,000 villages.
BSNL (Aurangabad) had already crossed a milestone of 90,000 mobile connections and may surpass the one lakh target at the end of Novemeber, when new cards will be issued, he added.
