Bellary records highest temperature
Bangalore, Oct 20 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours here today.
Rainfall occurred at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. Dry weather prevailed over North Interior Karnataka.
Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Sagar, Arsikere 4 each, Puttur 3; Mangalore AP, Bhadravathi, N.R.Pura, Chikmagalur 2 each; Bhagamandala, Panambur, Jayapura, Kadur, Sravanabelgola 1 each.
Maximum temperatures changed little over the State and were appreciably above normal at most places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka and above normal at many places over North Interior Karnataka.
Minimum temperatures changed little over the State and were above normal at a few places over Coastal Karnataka, however below normal few places over North Interior Karnataka and normal over South Interior Karnataka.
Bellary recorded the highest maximum temperature of 34.9 degree Celsius and Belgam Ap recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 17.4 degree Celsius over the State.
Forecast valid until Sunday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at isolated places over the State.
Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at isolated places over Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Belgaum, Dharwad, Gadag, Shimoga, Chikmagalur, Kodagu, Hassan districts. Mainly dry weather may prevail over remaining districts of the State.
Forecast for Bangalore: Partly cloudy. A spell of light rain likely in some areas. Maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 31 degree Celsius and 20 degree Celsius respectively.
