Ambika Soni to represent India in Hungary
New Delhi, Oct 20: Tourism and Culture Minister Ambika Soni is leaving for Budapest on Sunday to participate in various commemorative events relating to the 50th anniversary celebrations of the Hungarian Revolution.
The celebrations will kick off on Sunday with a gala programme at the National Opera building, to be hosted by the President and the Prime Minister of Hungary.
On Monday, Ms Soni will visit the National Assembly of the Hungarian Parliament and will participate in the commemorative events there. She is also scheduled to give interviews to some of the leading newspapers and TV channels of Hungary.
On Tuesday, the minister is slated to jointly release a publication -- ''India and Hungarian Revolution 1956'', together with the Foreign Minister of Hungary at the Petofi Irodalmi Museum.
Later, on the same day, she is scheduled to have a meeting with the Hungarian Culture Minister. The meeting is likely to culminate in signing a Cultural Exchange Programme between India and Hungary.
