5 BOT roads sanctioned
Bhopal, Oct 20: Five roads of 522 km length involving expenditure of Rs 1300 crore under the build-operate and transfer scheme were sanctioned by the Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation yesterday.
Tenders for the construction of the roads would be sanctioned within three months, official sources said.
The newly sanctioned roads include: Bhopal-Dewas (143Km), Jaora-Nayagaon(127Km), Matkuli-Tamia-Chhindwara (108Km), Chandpur-Alirajpur-Kukshi-Barwani (100Km) and Mandsaur-Sitamau (44 Km).
Of these, roads from Bhopal to Dewas and from Jaora to Nayagaon would be four-lane and both roads would cost Rs 1100 crore. Other three roads would be strengthened with new construction work costing Rs 200 crore.
The Corporation's meeting was chaired by Chief Minister SRS Chouhan.
