Woman injured by lightning

Barrackpore, Oct 19 (UNI) A woman was seriously injured when struck by lightning near Britannia Engineering Ltd at Titagarh in North 24 Parganas today.

Sources said the 28-year-old woman was washing utensils near a tube-well when she was struck by lightning during heavy rains and hailstorm.

She was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors described her condition as critical.
