Vietnam Ambassador calls on Delhi CM
New Delhi, Oct 19 (UNI) Vietnam's Ambassador to India Vu Quang Diem today proposed a cultural exchange programme between Hanoi and Delhi to strengthen the bonds of religious and economic cooperation.
Paying a courtesy call on Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit at her office here, Mr Diem expressed a keen desire to establish friendly relations with Delhi.
Ms Dikshit apprised him about the administrative set up of Delhi and efforts of her government in the fields of e-governance, 'Bhagidari' and Right to Information Act.
She added that Delhi was poised to become a world-class city as numerous projects of infrastructural development were being implemented in the run up to the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
Mr Diem had recently been appointed as Ambassador to New Delhi.
