Ten District Magistrates transferred in Orissa
Bhubaneswar, Oct 19 (UNI) In a major reshuffle at the district administration level, the Orissa government today transferred as many as ten District Collectors.
According to a General Administration Department notification, District Collector Satyabrata Sahu of Jagatsinghpur, where the South Korea Steel major POSCO was facing a stiff opposition for its proposed 12 MTPA steel plant, had been transferred as Additional Secretary, Water Resource Department.
Rayagada District Collector Dr Promod Kumar Mehrda had been appointed as Jagatsighpur District collector in place of Mr Sahu.
Nayagarh District Collector Jamil Ahmed Khan was transferred as Dhenkanal District Collector replacing Ms Usha Padhi, who had been appointed as Director, Social Welfare, in addition to Director, Misson Shakti.
Deogarh Collector Raj Kishore Jena, who was embroiled in a controversy over the attack on the district Civil Supply Officer, was appointed as the Additional Secretary to Science and Technology Department.
Project Director Orissa health System Development project Mayadhar Panigrahi was transferred and appointed as Labour Commissioner, while Keonjhar District Collector Sushil Kumar Lohani was appointed as Mission Director, National Health Mission.
Nabarangpur District Collector Bhaskar Jyoti Sharma had been transferred as District Collector of Rayagada, while Bhadrak District Magistrate Rashmi Ranjan Pattnaik was posted as Puri District Magistrate in place of Aswani Kumar Das, who was shifted as Special Secretary to Planning and Coordination Department.
Altogether eleven IAS officers and seven OAS officers were transferred in today's reshuffle.
