Rs 52 lakh outstanding for Mizoram printing dept
Aizawl, Oct 19 (UNI) Outstanding liabilities of various government departments to the Printing and Stationery Department, amounting more than Rs 52 lakhs, has posed a financial threat to the department.
According to a Subject Committee's report, laid in the state Assembly today, the outstanding liabilities of certain departments to the Printing&Stationery department has created problem and recommended to expedite the clearance of outstanding bills.
It said, Secretariat Administration Department has the highest amount of liability with a bill of Rs 19,96,201 and the next highest debtor is the Information and Public Relations department with a total amount of Rs 15,14,105 liability.
There are a total 29 departments owing money to the P&S department and ten others consisting of colleges, a polytechnic and several autonomous institutes within the state, the report stated.
The report also recommended that all departments of the state government place their indents with the Printing&Stationery department in order to convert deaprtmental expenditure into government revenues.
