Northeast monsoon active in AP
Hyderabad, Oct 19 (UNI) After reduction in the Southwest monsoon, parts of Andhra Pradesh today received northeast monsoon rainfall.
Rain or thundershowers were likely at a few places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh as also Rayalaseema in the next 48 hours. However, dry weather would continue in Telangana, the met office said here.
The state capital would experience a generally cloudy sky.
Maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 33 and 21 deg C respectively.
Venkatagiri Town (Nellore dist) recorded a rainfall of six cm, followed by Gudur, five, Srikalahasti, three, Chittoor, and Rapur two each.
The maximum temperatures fell at a few places over coastal Andhra Pradesh and changed little over Telangana and Rayalaseema in the last 24 hours. They were above normal at many places over Telangana and Rayalaseema and at one or two places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh. The highest maximum temperature of 35 deg C was recorded at Hanamakonda, Nandyal and Ramagundam.
The minimum temperatures fell at a few places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema and changed little over Telangana. They were normal over the State. The lowest minimum temperature of 18 deg C was recorded at Arogyavaram.
