Naval dockyard team completes trekking to Manali

Visakhapatnam, Oct 19 (UNI) The team of 26 employees and two officers of naval dockyard, which went on an adventurous trekking to Manali located in the foot hills of the Himalayas, successfully completed their expedition here.

The expedition was flagged off by naval, dockyard rear admiral Deshpande on October 2nd. The team reached altitude of 12,500 feet and visited places including Solang Nala, Dhundi, Bakarthach and also Holy Shrine Manikran.

During their 60 km trek spanned over five days they participated in a variety of activities such as rock climbing, river crossing etc.

The team also studied the climatic conditions, nature, habitat and living conditions.
