Metals worth Rs 13.75 lakh looted from Vapi factory godown

Surat, 0ct 19 (UNI) Police today arrested one person of an 18-member gang in connection with the robbery of industrial metals worth Rs 13.75 lakh from a factory godown at Vapi.

Vapi police station sources said the complainant, Mangilal Kapadia who is the owner of the godown, stated that the gang had forcefully entered into the Matheswari Metals godown at Vapi last night and allegedly beat up him and a worker. Then the gang tied the two persons and fled with 7,500 kg of metals from the godown. The culprits also looted a mobile phone and some cash.
