Maoist leader surrenders

Hyderabad, Oct 19 (UNI) A naxal leader belonging to the CPI (Maoist) party today surrendered before Hyderabad range Deputy Inspector General (DIG).

DIG Eswar Reddy told newsmen here that the naxal, Ramesh, was the area commander of Rachakonda, Krishnapatti, Aleru and Kanagal dalams.

He said the Maoist leader surrendered duo to ill-health. He was also disillusioned with the party's ideology.

The state Government would rehabilitate the surrendered leader, he added.
