Mumbai, Oct 19: Larsen&Toubro Ltd (L&T) has posted a net profit of Rs 201.22 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 143.05 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005, up 40.66 per cent.

Announcing the results, the company said its total income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 3,511.79 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005 to Rs 3847.80 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006.
