Lt Governor, CM extend greetings

Puducherry, Oct 19 (UNI) Puducherry Lt Governor Mukut Mithi and Chief Minister N Rangasamy today greeted the people on the occasion of Diwali.

In a message here, Mr Mithi said Diwali heralds the triumph of righteousness over treachery, truth over falsehood,knowledge over ignorance and good over evil.

In his message, Mr Rangasamy said the people of the Union Territory are an example for peace and communal harmony.

He said its was striving to provide a transparent and efficent government to ensure all the basic amenities to the people, he said and wished the people all happiness in every household on the occasion.
