Kotak Mahindra Bank Q2 net up 11.61 pc

Mumbai, Oct 19 (UNI) The private sector Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 34.79 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 31.17 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005, an increase of 11.61 per cent.

Announcing the results, the Bank said its total income has increased from Rs 235.85 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005 to Rs 357.63 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006.

As per the Consolidated results, the Group has posted a profit after tax attributable to the group of Rs 93.90 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 83.36 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005. Total Income has increased from Rs 619.89 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005 to Rs 903.49 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006.
