Kolkata gets first electronic mall
Kolkata, Oct 19 (UNI) Kolkata got its first electronic mall christened as "Technocity", courtesy Great Eastern Appliances Pvt Ltd.
The multi-brand superstore, set up at a cost of Rs 18 to 19 crore, and located over sprawling 20,000 square feet area in the heart of the city, would offer a wide range of electronic gadgets from Kitchen appliances to digital gizmos.
The store would offer over 30 brands of home appliances, lifestyle products, digital imaging and IT gadgets including premium international brands like Kleche, Harmon Kardon, Dennon along with Samsung, Electrolux, Yamaha, Sanyo, Sony, Pioneer and Hitachi among others, director- Great Eastern Appliances Pvt Ltd Pulkit Baid said.
The Great Eastern group hopes to clock a turnover of Rs 500 crore in the next 3 years over Rs 130 crore now.
The group has already hired 12,000 square feet area at Salt Lake for a similar store. The company is also planning to set up similar malls at Visakhapatnam and Bhubaneshwar, he added.
