Karun leaves for China hoping to maintain lead
New Delhi, Oct 19 (UNI) Karun Chandhok heads to Zhuhai in China this weekend with an eight-point lead over Indonesian Ananda Mikola for the next leg of the Asian Formula Renault V6 series.
Bahrain's Hammad Al Fardan is 18 points behind Karun while Kiwi Matt Holiday is down at fourth place, another 10-point behind.
After the previous round was cancelled, the teams will now be competing in four races, instead of two in the inaugural season.
''It will be a tough weekend for the cars and without doubt, everyone is going to have reliability concerns. So luck will also play a part.
''I already had two mechanical problems so far which my rivals have not. So hopefully, we've left behind our bad luck for the season,'' Karun said.
Out of eight races, Karun has won four, including a double win in Zhuhai, and started from pole position five times.
