New Delhi, Oct 19 (UNI) Jindal Steel&Power edged out Cavalry Green by seven goals to six and Sahgal Stud scraped past Sixt Polo team by six goals to five in the quarterfinals matches of the Deutsche Bank Bhopal-Pataudi Cup tournament here today.

Both quarterfinal matches of the eight-goal tournament were closely contested and hard fought.

In the first chukker, Jindal Steel&Power, the former scored three goals and conceded one, while in the second, Jindal scored another goal to buttress the lead.

In third chukker, both teams scored two goals each and in the last and fourth chukker, Cavalry Green scored three quick goals but that was still not enough to aver a defeat.

In the second match, Sixt Polo team put pressure on Sahgal Stud from the very beginning and scored three goals in the first two chukkers, whereas their rivals managed just one.

Sehgal Stud, however, came back with vengeanc in the next chukker and snatched the match from their rivals to book their semifinal berth.
