India - a preferred investment destination : Consul Generals
Mumbai, Oct 19 (UNI) Consul generals of Germany and Poland today said that India is a preferred destination for investment.
Walter Stechel, Consul General of Germany, said that trade between India and Germany is growing at 40 per cent per year and there is more scope for the growth.
German companies are very closely looking at India, not only for exports but also for joint venture investments and technology transfer as India is a preferred Investment destination.
Janusz Bylinski, Consul General of Poland said that the trade between India and Poland has doubled in the last two years and a lot of Indian companies are looking at investment in Poland as well as Polish market in the areas of Textiles, Pharma&IT and Poland is a good hub for exports to European continent.
He further added that the Polish companies in the areas of mining, Agro, Food Products and Engineering are looking at investments in India besides the defence industry.
Vijay Kalantri, President, All India Association of Industries (AIAI) and Indo Polish Chamber of Commerce &Industry (IPCCI) in his welcome address said that there is a tremendous scope in doing business with Germany and Poland as Germany is the biggest trading partner in Europe for India and Poland is a emerging partner for Indian companies in various sectors.
AIAI is specially working in developing relationships with European continent and East European countries as these are important markets for India, AIAI release here today said.
