Haryana to set up two more Industrial Model Townships

Panchkula, Sep 19 (UNI) Buoyed by the success of the Industrial Model Township (IMT) at Manesar near Gurgaon, the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIDC) has decided to set up two more such townships at Faridabad and Rohtak.

This is being done to boost the industrial development in the state and to exploit the strategic potential of the area.

The concept of industrial model township all over the world encompasses an integrated approach wherein the industrial, commercial, residential and institutional sites are blended together for operational convenience and promoting walk-to-work-culture, a spokesman of HSIDC today stated.

The site for the proposed IMT at Rohtak is abutting National Highway No-10 and is close to Rohtak town towards the National Capital of New Delhi.
