Groundnutseed, its oil down on larger stocks arrivls.

Mumbai, Oct 19 (UNI) Prices of groundnutseed and its oil drifted lower on increased stock supply, while palmolein oil remained steady on scattered selling pressure, traders at the Bombay Commodity Exchange (BCE) today said.

Castorseed futures contracts for December 2006 shot up sharply by Rs 22 to close at Rs 1,854 on sustained heavy fresh speculative demand by local operators. Its opened at Rs 1,835, high at Rs 1854, low at Rs 1,835 and its finally closed at Rs 1,854 against its previous close of Rs 1,832 per quintal.About 80 tonnes was reported on daily business session, traders said.
