Franklin Templeton app NSE to get listed
Mumbai, Oct 19: Franklin Templeton has approached National Stock Exchange (NSE) to get itself listed in order to facilitate its customers with choice to repurchase its various schemes.
Talking to media on the sidelines of announcement of Franklin Templeton Capital Safety Fund here today, the company President Vivek Kudva said that ''we have recently approached NSE in our efforts to get listed there. Once it is done, then our customers will have an option to repurchase different schemes being offered by us.'' As per the norms laid by Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the repurchase of scrips, stocks or even exchange of traded fund is not allowed for mutual funds. However, the same is possible in case the company offering such schemes gets itself listed.
The company would get listed within the next few days, he hoped, adding that, after that, they would come out with an IPO within the next six months period.
