Five soldiers killed in road accident in Kashmir

Srinagar, Oct 19 (UNI) At least five soldiers were killed and several others wounded when their vehicle was hit by a tipper on the city outskirts today, official sources said.

They said an Army vehicle carrying troops was hit by a speeding tipper at Pohru in Nowgam area on the city outskirts this morning.

While three soldiers died on the spot, seven were wounded, the sources said. The injured were immediately rushed to a hospital here where two soldiers later succumbed to wounds, they added.

The sources said the condition of the other wounded Army personnel was stated to be critical.
