Essar official dies in road accident

Ahmedabad, Oct 19 (UNI) The head of the Gujarat unit of Essar Group Haresh Shah (53) was killed in a road accident near Bavla town, about 35 km from here, last night.

Mr Shah was seriously injured when his car ran into a high divider and its iron railing smashed the window and pierced his head.

Police sources here said Essar chief was returning from Jamnagar after attending a hearing of his company's case in local court when the accident occurred.

Mr Shah was rushed to a private hospital where later he succumbed to his injuries.
