DHFL Q2 net jumps 23.43%

New Delhi, Oct 19 (UNI) Housing finance company Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Ltd (DHFL) today reported a 23.43 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 11.43 crore for the second quarter as compared to the corresponding quarter last year.

The company's total income rose by 40.90 per cent at Rs 76 crore during the quarter ended September 30, 2006.

Loan disbursements for the quarter stood at Rs 381.55 crore as compared to Rs 273.75 crore during the corresponding quarter, registering a growth of 39.38 per cent.

The loan portfolio stood at Rs 2,763.80 crore, a growth of 47.25 per cent as against the same quarter in the previous fiscal.

Meanwhile, the total assets of the company stood at Rs 3,148.17 crore as on September 30, 2006.
