Dengue situation under control in Bengal: Minister
Kolkata, Oct 19 (UNI) West Bengal Health Minister Surjyakanta Mishra today said the incidence of Dengue in the state was under control though four people have died and more than 500 affected by the disease.
''The Dengue situation in West Bengal is under control and better than in other states. Since January this year, 500 people had been affected so far. Last year, 6,375 fell victims to this disease,'' he told reporters.
There were four confirmed reports of death during the period, he added Dr Mishra said the state government was taking all necessary measures as per WHO guidelines to contain the incidence of Dengue in the state.
