BJP blames Cong for dividing people

Kohima, Oct 19: The Bharatiya Janata Party has expressed serious concern at the Congress' gameplan of ''dividing'' people to gain political mileage.

BJP North Eastern Zonal Organisation In-charge V Satish, in a statement today termed the present situation in the state as ''most unfortunate'' and appealed to the people to foil the Congress' nefarious design in the greater interest of all.

Mr Satish blamed the Congress for the ''disturbed and explosive situation'' in the entire North Eastern region, saying that the Congress' ''misrule'' at the Centre and some other states was responsible for the present situation.

He also held the UPA leadership responsible for 'mishandling' the Naga peace process, because the party lacks the perception and seriousness.

The BJP is in favour of a lasting all acceptable and honourable solution to this more than half-century old issue, he added.
