Bangladesh link to dacoity gang
Bhopal, Oct 19 (UNI) In a major breakthrough, police today claimed to have busted a dacoity gang, involved in a string of dacoities in the past five months, with the arrest of four of its members, all of whom happen to be Bangladesh nationals.
Inspector General of Police (Bhopal range) Sanjeev Kumar Singh told reporters here today that the gang had carried out six dacoities in Bhopal, three in Ujjain and one each in Dewas and Indore.
Mr Singh pointed out that a similarity was found in the manner in which these dacoities were carried out and had led to a belief that a brain was behind the operation of the gang.
Its members functioned separately and the link of the gang appeared to be in Delhi.
He said the Bangladesh link of the gang was shocking and expressed confidence to nab other accused shortly.
Four members, including Habib alias Mota, Shadab alias Gudda, Nazeem alias Rajesh and Mubin, were arrested yesterday.
While one member was arrested in Dewas, his confession helped in nabbing three other accused in the state capital.
