Air force officers on motorcycle expedition

Chennai, Oct 19: To mark the 75th anniversary of the Indian Air Force (IAF), two officers today began a 3000- km-long motorcycle expedition mission.

The officers, attached with the 14 Air Warriors of the Avadi Air Force Station, would cover Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka to promote the spirit of adventure, test of endurance and sense of spirit-de-corps among the Air Force personnel.

IAF Administration Training Command, Senior Officer-in-charge of the Headquarters Air Vice Marshall B C Nanjappa flagged off the expedition.

After finishing the expedition, the 16-member team would reach here on October 31, a defence release said today.
