About 336 dental surgeon posts to be cleared soon: Azad
Srinagar, Oct 19 (UNI) About 366 posts of dental surgeons have been referred to the planning department for clearance, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad said.
After inaugurating a block of the Government Dental College here last evening, Mr Azad said doctors should serve humanity with utmost zeal and dedication and called upon the young dentists to live up to the high expectations of their noble profession with a single-minded approach to serve the needy.
The Chief Minister said he was vigorously pursuing the matter of seeking permission to start post-graduate classes in the Government Dental College here with the Dental Council of India.
Mr Azad said the state now has two dental colleges one each in Kashmir and Jammu divisions. In order to ensure job avenues, about 366 posts of dental surgeons have been referred to the planning department for clearance, he added.
The Chief Minister said he strongly felt that dental surgeons should be made available right up to the block level for the benefit of the people.
