14 in fray for Koderma Parliamentary byelection

Ranchi, Oct 18 (UNI) Altogether 14 candidates are in the fray after withdrawal of an Independent candidate today for the November six byelection to Koderma Parliamentary seat.

Mr Ramchandra Ram Pandit withdrew his nomination today.

In the multi-cornered fight, prominent among the candidates are BJP's Pranav Kumar Verma, Jharkhand Vikash Morcha's Babulal Marandi and Congress' Manoj Kumar Yadav.

In all-20 nominations were filed of which five were rejected.

The byelection was necessitated after former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi resigned from the Lok Sabha in May.
