1 killed in RCC roof collapse

Jamnagar, Oct 19 (UNI) At least one person died and 20 other were seriously injured when the RCC slab of a building under construction at the Airforce station here collapsed this today.

About 150 labourers were in the building when the wooden support to the RCC roof was removed. Soon after, the slab came crashing down.

The work of extricating the trapped workers with the help of a crane is still on.

Firebrigade personnel rushed with crane and other equipments.

Fiftyfive workers were brought to the Jamnagar civil hospital where one of them died.

Twenty have been admitted while others were given first aid.
