WR to run special trains for Chhath festival

Mumbai, Oct 18 (UNI) The Western Railway (WR) authorities have decided to run three special trains between Valsad and Patna (Rajendra Nagar) stations to clear the extra rush of passengers in view of the upcoming Chhath festival.

According to an official release here today, train number 0993 will leave Valsad at 1540 hrs on October 18, 22 and 27 and it will reach Rajendra Nagar at 2305 hrs the next day. Similarly, train no 0994 will depart from Rajendranagar at 1855 hours on October 20, 24 and 29 and will reach Valsad at 2315 hrs the next day.

En route, the train will halt at stations such as Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Nagda, Kota, Bayana, Agra Fort, Tundla, Kanpur, Allahabad, Mugalsarai and Patna, in both directions.

Meanwhile, the WR authorities have also decided to run weekly special train between Bandra Terminus and Bhuj in Gujarat from November 2.

A special Bandra terminus-Ahmedabad super fast special train will also run from tomorrow. It will leave Bandra Terminus at 2320 hrs and will reach Ahmedabad at 0800 hrs next day, the release added.
