Suspected Qaeda terrorist nabbed in Haryana
Karnal, Oct 18: A dreaded terrorist, allegedly having links with Al Qaeda, has been arrested from the local Karan Vihar Colony, police sources said today.
Mohammad Qadir, who was reportedly living in the city for the past nine years and was allegedly working for the Al Qaeda, was nabbed following a raid by the Intelligence Bureau (IB) and the Delhi police on Sunday, the sources said.
However, the terrorist managed to provide a safe passage to his wife Shahana Alias Bubli and two kids along with some vital documents, they said.
Though the police was tight-tipped about any recovery from him, reliable sources said a large quantity of RDX, which could have blown the entire city, had been recovered from his possession.
Talking to UNI, Karnal SP Shibas Kaviraj confirmed the arrest of the terrorist.
However, he said raids were conducted separately by the Haryana police and I B and Delhi police. Refusing to divulge any further details, he said that at this juncture, nothing could be disclosed as the investigation was still going on.
