No gift please: Contribute to PM Relief Fund: PM

New Delhi, Oct 18: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has appealed to people not to send any gift to him on the occasion of Diwali.

Instead, Dr Singh wants contributions to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund which is being used for helping needy people, an official said.

This is the second straight year, the Prime Minister has made such an appeal. Last year, he had asked people to contribute to the PM's Relief Fund in the wake of the earthquake in Jammu and Kashmir.
