Grasim Industries Q2 net up 80 pc to Rs 338 crore

Mumbai, Oct 18 (UNI) Grasim Industries Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 337.84 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 187.65 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005, an increase of 80.03 per cent.

Announcing the results, the company said its total income has increased from Rs 1680.04 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005 to Rs 2061.04 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006.

As per the Consolidated results, the Group has posted a net profit (after minority's share) of Rs 418.33 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 200.42 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005. Total Income has increased from Rs 2388.13 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005 to Rs 3237.24 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006.
