European visit has been a success: Hooda
Madrid, Oct 18 (UNI) Describing as ''successful'' his visit to the European countries to woo investors to his state, Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said his trip to Madrid would also be equally successful.
Mr Hooda met investors based in Spain, expressing satisfaction at the response generated during his visit to Amsterdam, Berlin, Paris and London.
While interacting with investors and entrepreneurs in a meeting organised by the Confederation of Employers and Industries of Spain (CEOE) here, he said that his government had succeeded in attracting investment from both foreign and domestic sources.
Highlighting the achievements of the European tour, he said that he held successful meetings with Dutch-Haryana Foundation, Osram, Alstom and JCB. He pointed that Spanish companies like Rinder, Halwell and Floral SA had presence in his state and invited the investors to Haryana so as to get first hand assessment of the situation of the state.
Mr Hooda is leading an official delegation as well as that of industry chamber Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
The delegation was welcomed by Mr Jose Garcia Morales, President of the Council of Foreign Trade and Investment Board of CEOE.
In his presentation, the Haryana Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary, Industries, P K Chaudhary highlighted the policies of the state government for attracting foreign investment in the state.
Mr Hooda and the members of the delegation answered the queries from the representatives of various industrial associations in the field of auto and auto-components, textiles, energy and infrastructure at round-table discussions held later.
