14-year-old boy commits suicide

Puducherry, Oct 18: A 14-year-old boy allegedly committed suicide by jumping infront of Puducherry-Chennai express train here today morning. According to police one U Bharathan, an eight standard student of a private school at Kombakkam near here, took the extreme step because his father scolded him daily for his laxity on studies.

The body had been send for post mortem, police added.

Meanwhile, Narayansami(42), a police constable attached to the D Nagar police station, allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself here at the police quarters due to family problems.
