Water level in major dams in Kerala rises

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 17 (UNI) Water levels of major reservoirs in Kerala have increased.

According to figures released by the Central Water Commission (CWC) for the week ending on November 16, at Idamalayar the level increased from 550.03ft to 552.69ft, at Kallada from 375.16 ft to 377.46 ft and at Idukki from 2370.18 ft to 2374.00ft.

Compared to the water levels recorded during the same period last year, Idukki reservoir showed a decrease of 20.28 ft.

However, Idamalayar reservoir and Kallada reservoir showed an increase of 2.30 ft and 5.74 ft respectively.
