Two jailed for assaulting prof
Ujjain, MP, Oct 17 (UNI) A local court has remanded two accused to judicial custody in the Ujjain Central Jail until October 26 for assaulting a professor during student violence on August 26 at Madhav College here.
Govind and Jeevan Dabi were arrested yesterday for subjecting Prof M L Nath to misbehaviour and damaging the college premises after postponement of an union poll.
Judicial Magistrate R S Madia issued the remand order.
Prof Harbhajan Singh Sabharwal died as a result of the violence.
A total of 52 people were apprehended for the damage and for targeting Prof Nath but 50 are out on bail.
